Donor Creates Business Prize

A significant pledge from Leonard J. Attman, president of Attman Properties Co., will endow the Leonard and Phyllis Attman Competitive Business Prize in the University of Baltimore's Merrick School of Business. The pledge is for a competitive business awards program, in which students and alumni compete for vital seed funding for their innovative new business ventures. The prize is intended to boost the school into the top ranks of institutions recognized for their leadership in enterprise creation.

Honors Program Prepares Students for Career Success

Denit Honors Program

A new agenda for high-achieving students in the Merrick School of Business, set to debut this fall under the auspices of the University of Baltimore's Helen P. Denit Honors Program, is designed to inspire students to reach new levels of understanding, insight and capabilities in areas about which they are passionate, by exploring their talents for leadership, civic engagement and intellectual discourse. The Business Honors Program builds on what the school’s Department of Accounting created for a select group of undergraduate accounting majors last fall.
