The Merrick School of Business Faculty Awards were presented in a hybrid event on May 24, 2022. The following awards and achievements were recognized:

• Dr. Praneets Randhawa received the "Outstanding Article of the Year Award" for her co-authored paper, “Assessing the Effects of Service Variability on Consumer Confidence and Behavior” 

Professorships and Chairs

• Dr. Regina Bento was selected as the Baltimore Gas & Electric Chair
• Dr. Mikhail Pevzner was selected as the EY Chair in Accounting
• Dr. Amir Pezeshkan was selected as the CSX Chair  
• Dr. Praneet Randhawa was selected as the J. William Middendorf Distinguished Professor
• Dr. Jaya Singhal was selected as the Frank Baker Chair
• Dr. Kalyan Singhal was selected as the Doris and Robert McCurdy Chair 
• Dr. Lourdes White was selected as the Lockheed Martin Chair
• Dr. Nafessa Yunus was selected as the Harry Y. Wright Chair, Finance
• Dr. Ting Zhang was selected as the Harry Y. Wright Chair, Economics

Annual Awards 

• Dr. Claire Guo received the Dean Clifford C. James Chair for Distinguished Teaching
• Kate Demarest received the Yale Gordon Chair of Distinguished Teaching
• Nafessa Yunus received the T. Rowe Price Excellence in Teaching, Finance
• Dr. Dan Gerlowski received the Turner Medallion
• Dr. Jan Williams received the Dean Daniel Costello Service Award
• Frank van Vliet received the G. Maxwell Armor Professorship
• Andrew Freedman received the Adjunct Faculty Award

Dean’s Appreciation Award went to Dr. Kalyan Singhal, Henry Mortimer and Dr. Sanwar Sunny. Professor Sunny also received the Dean’s Rising Star Research Award.
