A New Model for Entrepreneurship Education
An innovative program for sharpening the business skills of entrepreneurs by placing them with business mentors and professors for an extended period of apprenticeship and instruction will be funded by a $550,000 gift from the Philip E. and Carole R. Ratcliffe Foundation to the University of Baltimore’s Merrick School of Business.

Results from the recently published 2010 C.P.A. exam shows accounting graduates from the University of Baltimore’s Merrick School of Business exceeding the national pass rate for the four-part exam, and surpassing all of the University’s in-state peer institutions except for the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park.

One of the primary factors that attracted me to the UB/Towson M.B.A. was the opportunity to study abroad in one of the Merrick School’s global field study courses. In January 2012, thanks in large part to a Wright Global Scholarship, I enrolled in the course to study emerging markets in India.
