UB Alumnus Bob Parsons, Founder of Go Daddy, Establishes Professorship

 
Bob Parsons

Bob Parsons, B.S. '75, D.H.L. '08, founder and executive chairman of Go Daddy, has made a $1 million donation to the University of Baltimore to establish a new professorship specializing in digital communication—a burgeoning field that brings together computer science, graphic design, entrepreneurship and related skills across several sectors of the 21st century global economy.

University Hires New Director of Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation

 
Johnetta Hardy

Johnetta Hardy, former executive director of Howard University’s Institute for Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Innovation, has been named director of the University of Baltimore's Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Merrick School of Business Dean Darlene Smith announced the appointment last August.

Start Up Maryland Bus

Budding entrepreneurs from the University of Baltimore had a unique opportunity to share their ideas and concepts for new businesses with several successful business leaders when Startup Maryland's "Pitch Across Maryland" bus tour stopped for a rally at the UB campus on Sept. 20. The rally’s purpose was to see what entrepreneurial ideas UB students have percolating, and how they would take their business dream from concept to reality.
