Center Offers Competitive Funding for Students and Alumni Business Pitches
When it comes to capturing the spirit of UB’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, the words of Jerry Yang, former CEO and co-founder of Yahoo, come to mind: "I think that it’s always possible to have a great company if you have great ideas."As the center drives forward in its goal to support the many UB students and alumni who dream of having their own business, the potential for greatness rises every time someone walks through the door. The University of Baltimore exudes entrepreneurship, new venture creation and innovation. It’s in our newly revamped M.B.A. curriculum, our initiatives and the physical surroundings all across the UB campus. But a university’s real identity is forged in the ideas and energy that are birthed by its students, faculty and alumni. The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation has launched a series of business pitch competitions that can help students and alumni refine and re-tune their business ideas while they compete for prize money.
