U.S. News Ranks School of Business Undergraduate Program

 
2015 U.S. News award

The University of Baltimore's Merrick School of Business has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as offering one of the country's Best Undergraduate Business Programs. Climbing 39 places in its 2015 ranking, the school is at the top of Maryland’s public business schools; only the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park is ranked higher.

The school tied with well over a dozen other business schools from across the country, including California State University–Fullerton, Elon University, Howard University, Kent State University, Loyola University Maryland and St. John’s University in New York.

Murray Dalziel

Murray M. Dalziel, a longtime business developer, thought leader and adviser to senior executives in a number of top global companies, was named the 12th dean of the University of Baltimore's Merrick School of Business.

With a growing number of academic programs designed to meet the changing demands of business students and the marketplace, the Merrick School of Business is a key contributor to metropolitan Baltimore’s growing reputation as a hub for business talent, ideas and expertise. Dalziel is expected to continue this progressive trend.

The newly conceived UB/Towson MBA curriculum—created with significant input from business leaders at prominent area companies—is proving to be a home run with students, garnering hundreds of queries, a substantial boost in enrollment, and accolades from professionals in the field. The increased attention is especially gratifying for the professors and administrators at both campuses who put in hundreds of hours as they recast the degree program, from its core to its many specializations.
